COVID-19 update: Client advice on what to do during the Coronavirus crisis
Learn more about the fantastic facilities that we have access to
The clinic can hospitalise sick and injured animals in our purpose-built kennels and at Alderney, we have a separate cat / isolation ward. Both surgeries have full surgical, x-ray, ultrasonic scanning and dental facilities on site. We have digital radiography at Kinson and multiple flexible endoscopes at Aderney, which enables us to explore and sample areas such as the stomach, nasal cavity and lower respiratory tract. As part of our commitment to be at the forefront of veterinary care, we are also able to offer laparoscopy (keyhole surgery). This type of surgery has become the gold standard in many types of human surgery but it is still very new on the veterinary front and few practices have access to the equipment required.
Modern anaesthetic equipment and drugs are employed to ensure minimum risk to our patients. We can run ECGs and monitor pulse, blood oxygen, carbon dioxide and drug levels throughout an anaesthetic. A comprehensive practice laboratory gives us rapid diagnostic ability and we encourage the running of pre-anaesthetic blood tests in older animals. We are fully computerised with cutting edge software which allows efficient and accurate recording and invoicing.
Informed advice on all aspects of petcare including nutrition, worming and flea control is on hand throughout the day. The practice stocks a range of healthcare products including flea control, as well as prescription diets and high-quality foods for healthy dogs and cats of all ages. For pets with a weight problem, we run weight watcher clinics. We also routinely microchip pets so owners can find them if they ever get lost!
