Puppy Training Classes

We are pleased to announce that we offer puppy training classes!

Claudia, our senior nurse has hosted puppy parties (socialization classes) at the practice for 10 years. After receiving full membership with the IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers), Claudia will now be running weekly puppy training classes, as well as the puppy parties.

"Aniwell training classes are run using fun and force-free techniques. We positively reinforce the behaviors that you like to see from your puppy, ensuring these behaviors are repeated."

Owning a puppy is such an exciting time. We would like to provide you with the skills to help raise your puppy to be confident, clever and care-free. The six-week training course will cost £60 and be held at a paddock in Canford Magna, close to Canford Park Arena off the Magna Road. Full details and map will be emailed after booking.

Your puppy will need to have received their full course of vaccinations (please present the card at the start of the first class). Please bring your puppy to class in a flat collar and/or harness and with some treats. Flexi leads are not advised and choke, half-choke, electric or prong collars are NOT permitted.

How to book?

Please contact Claudia via the 'Aniwell training' Facebook page or email her on Puppies wishing to complete the 3-week puppy party need to have had their 1st vaccine and be between 8-14 weeks. These are held at the Alderney practice on Tuesday evenings at 7pm.

Puppy training classes suit puppies that are covered fully by vaccines up until 6 months' old. Classes are kept small to optimize learning. Enquire for dates of courses.
